Thriller is a carnival-type winter squash that gives growers strong fall market appeal with variable orange and dark green striping over a creamy background, while still offering solid eating quality with dense orange flesh and a nutty flavor. Plants are semi-bush type and are more compact than many similar dumpling types, making them easier to manage. They color up early with good postharvest holding. Fruit runs about 1 to 2 pounds, and the crop matures in about 80 days.
