Expert Advice from Field to Farm


Meet our Product Specialist, Tim Terpstra, who is available for growing tips and questions!

For 16 years, Tim managed Ralph's Greenhouse, a large certified organic farm in the Skagit Valley where the focus was on growing leeks, carrots, beets, kale, and spinach. He then managed a popular local flower farm for another year before coming to work for Osborne in 2020 as Product Development Manager.

Tim is involved in sourcing, planting, growing and evaluating variety trials on commercial farms and at Osborne's WSU trial grounds.
Varieties currently offered by Osborne are planted alongside pre-commercial and newly commercial varieties for comparison and evaluation of vigor, growth habit, productivity, flavor, size, shape, days to maturity, and pest and disease resistance, just to name a few. His twenty years of agricultural experience is an incredible resource for our customers, as well as the team at Osborne.
