Ultra Violet brings a truly sweet purple corn to market, setting ears with dark-violet kernels on solid 8-inch cobs that hold the sugary eating quality shoppers expect. Its color and flavor stand out, with lighter kernels tasting delicately sweet and the deeper purple delivering bolder notes. For best eating and striking bicolor contrast, harvest on the early side as kernels darken with maturity--around 25 days after pollination depending on growing conditions. The purple color is dominant to yellow and white. Be sure to plant at least 700 feet from other varieties.
