Kurinishiki is a reliable hybrid kabocha that sets uniform small to medium fruits around 4 lb with dark green rind and pale striping. The flesh cooks dry, smooth, and very sweet with a chestnut–sweet potato character, making it a favorite for roasting, soups, and tempura. Vigorous vines suit late-season harvests, and cured fruit holds quality in storage—excellent for CSA boxes and farmstands. Expect roughly 105 days to maturity.
