Our new 2014 catalogs are hot off the press! If you haven't yet received your copy, we'd be happy to send you one; simply fill out a request, and we'll get one in the mail for you right away!
We are fired-up and thrilled to share this years' catalog with you, as it boasts 100 new varieties! Here are some new variety highlights:
We have added 5 overwintering Cabbages to our cabbage selection, one of them being Marabel F1: this cabbage holds it's ground! It's very long standing which can produce a prolonged harvest date, providing Mother Nature cooperates. Depending upon when you plant it, harvest can occur from November onward!
Are you looking for an outstanding tomato? Do you love the heirloom varieties, but have customers who want better quality fruit? We have added some tomatoes for you! The Specialty tomatoes we've added are open pollinated varieties developed from heirloom genetics, and are faster-growing, with heavier yields. Try the beautiful Pink Berkely Tie-Dye for instance: with its lovely green/pinkish red tie-dyed skin, balanced flavor and ability to hold off disease, it's a real knockout!
Several new flower varieties grace our pages this year, and we are pleased to have more offerings for your floral needs! Nigella Blue Stars is one great multi-tasker: it's a nice filler for the pro grower, makes a beautiful border plant, and once the plant dries down, small seed pods on stiff stems are left for a whimsical touch to your arrangement. This very prolific plant produces sweet blue-purple star shaped flowers.
Take advantage of the recent culinary cauliflower craze and add a new variety to your planting lineup: in our trials, we were very impressed with Celeritas F1. This white cauliflower's open wrap protected it much better than competition, and it is simply a quality variety for the earliest slot.
If you'd like to know more about any of our new varieties, or any variety we offer, please feel free to give us a call; we'd love to help you get growing!
