Organic Cauliflower Seed Growing Information

Transplant: Start cauliflower seed in trays 4-5 weeks before desired transplant date at ¼” depth. Take care to transplant healthy cauliflower plants before they become rootbound or stressed in trays. Soil temperature for germination is 55-75° F.
Spacing: 15-18” apart in rows that are 24-36” apart.
Growth needs: Well-drained soil with high fertility and organic matter, and consistent irrigation. Cauliflower is a cool-season crop that performs poorly in hot temperatures, though there are varieties that are better suited for warm conditions. Choose the appropriate varieties for your desired growing season and climate. Stressed transplants are more likely to perform poorly, so make sure to transplant only healthy plants and water in well.
Harvest: When cauliflower heads are of desired size, before curds become segmented or rice.
Storage: Store at 36° F at 95% above humidity for 2-3 weeks.
