Transplant:Start seed indoors about 3 weeks before desired transplant date. Soil temperature for germination is 65-85°F. Transplant after last frost and once soil warm to at least 60°F. Can be direct-seeded in regions that have a long, hot growing seasons.
Spacing:18-24” apart in rows that are 6’ apart. Be careful not to disturb roots when planting.
Growth needs: Grows best in well-drained soil with access to pollinators. Can be planted into black plastic or black landscape fabric to warm soil further and improve growth.
Harvest: When fruit is at desired size. Harvest often, every 2-3 days, depending on growth rate, to encourage higher yields and to prevent rapid overgrowth of fruit.
Storage:Store at 40-50° F with 90% relative humidity for up to 4 days. Sell or useas soon as possible for best quality.
